Dear Early Childhood Partners,
The Maryland Family Engagement Coalition is seeking workshop presenters for the third Maryland Family Engagement Summit to be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute in the BWI area. The Summit will be attended by educators, parent ambassadors, family service coordinators, Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) members, and state and local policy makers. Proposals for the 2-hour breakout sessions should support the theme of cultivating and developing family leaders, and strategies for engaging families as leaders in schools, programs, and communities with an emphasis on moving from involvement to engagement. All proposals should take into consideration the particular strengths and needs of dual-language or non-English-speaking families and families of children with disabilities. Proposals should align with the Maryland Early Childhood Family Engagement Framework and should indicate which specific goals of the Framework it supports.
