Emotional Intelligence: From Theory to Practice will feature Dr. Marc Brackett, Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. Dr. Brackett will discuss research on why emotions matter; the theory of emotional intelligence, the framework to measure and study the impact of emotions and an overview of Social Emotional Learning using the Preschool RULER which provides strategies that help educators create emotionally supportive environments. Workshops will follow after lunch.
